SWEEP RIDERS WANTED FOR THE HUME AND HOVELL ULTRA TRAIL MARATHON - 13th and 14th October, 2018

This is a fantastic way to ride some awesome trails around the Tumbarumba area and be an integral part of the support team for the Wagga Road Runner's annual Hume and Hovell Ultra Trail Marathon. These guys help us out at a lot of our major club events to ensure that maximum people get to ride, so now is our chance to pay them back. The role of MTB sweep riders is to work in pairs and follow the last runner along in each of the 100 mile and 100km events. We need a minimum of 8-10 riders to cover the 5 different legs. The riding is at an easy pace because it is at the pace of the last runner, but good endurance fitness levels and some technical ability are handy. Some legs will require you to ride at night with lights. You get well fed at each CP, well looked after and thanked 1000 times by many appreciative people!!
